Norway's Crown Prince Haakon purchases summer retreat off the country's southern coast
Norway's Crown Prince Haakon and wife Crown Princess Mette-Marit have purchased summer retreat off the country's southern coast.
The royal couple - who have been searching for a holiday home for some time - bought a property called Flatholmen, in an outlying area of the archipelago outside Risor.
The property consists of an island with a small summer house, a boathouse, piers and a private sandy beach.
The house was advertised for $1.6 million but royal officials wouldn't confirm how much Haakon and Mette-Marit.
