Whenever you look at the lives of the bold and the beautiful (no, not the series) celebrities, independent of what mass communication channel you are using, you can not NOT hear about their drug problems.

Actually, be it a drug problem or any other addiction they have encountered on their way to becoming a big star. And even more so while being one. Let’s be honest, celebrities are pretty much disasters from this perspective. Whatever they do, they get addicted. Take Amy Winehouse who couldn’t use the chance of a lifetime to record the new theme for James Bond movie due to her „personal problems”.

As sad is it might be for me to say, it’s not just a problem for celebrities. Why many of us think it is, is just the fact that nobody really cares to talk about Us. We’re not interesting enough plus there’s too many of us to talk about. Independent of that, all of us have our own addictions. You don’t think you have one? Come one, even the Pope has one.

Take me for example – I drink, I smoke, I do like the smell of pot and I gamble. How many different things are out there your parents warned you about? I think I just listed most of them.

Addictions, at least some of them, are often not bad for our physical, maybe even not for mental health, but what they usually are bad for is our wallet.

Pretty much the worst problem you might find is addiction to cocaine - that’s something as bad as a Santa Clause with Marsians from Jupiter (not only can you see they exist, but it’s also extremely expensive to get them to Earth).

Alcohol abuse and addiction could be looked at just a bit differently. The level between normal drinking and addiction varies a lot from person to person. The way I see it, after 14 beers I’m a beer lover, okay maybe a superlover, but beer lover nonetheless. And then comes my mother who thinks just one beer day makes you a drunk, go wonder.

The topic of addictions is an important one, independent of whether we are looking at it through the prism of humor or from Mars. Click to read articles on drug addiction and a lot more. Plus you’ll also discover what the most expensive addicitons are.
