A US woman was fined £500 after dyeing her pet poodle pink.
Joy Douglas, from Boulder, said she dyed her white miniature poodle Cici with beetroot juice and Kool-Aid fruit squash to raise awareness for breast cancer.
However, under a local law which makes it illegal to dye animals, Douglas was ordered to pay a £500 fine.
The rule was introduced after people dyed their rabbits and chicks for Easter last year.
Douglas had a hearing scheduled, but it has been postponed until April because she hadn't got a lawyer.
