A robot will soon be seen doing all the housework from waking you up from bed, to chatting and help you to make your breakfast.

Boffins claimed that the robot - which has soft hands and fingers - can become more like its human inventors.

The Japanese humanoid - called Twendy one has enough strength to support humans as they sit up and stand, and supple movements responding to the human touch.

They also claimed that the robot is capable enough to pick up a loaf of bread without crushing it, serve toast and help lift people out of bed.

Shigeki Sugano, professor of mechanical engineering at Waseda University, Tokyo said that the robot is the first of its kind with such a mechanism

"It's the first robot in the world with this much system integration," The Sun quoted Sugano, as saying. (ANI)
