Manchester United and England football star Wayne Rooney could be heading for Hollywood - after impressing a top producer during his honeymoon in the United States.

Film financier Victor Drai believes Rooney has the potential to attract teen fans in America after meeting him in Vegas, reports The Daily Star.

Drai has racked up a string of box office hits including Woman In Red and two Weekend At Bernie's comedies.

"He (Drai) believes Rooney could become a hugely popular figure over here, and Victor has various projects that could fit his busy schedule right away," the tabloid quoted one of his aides, as saying.

Wayne and his new bride Coleen, both 22, were wooed by Moroccan-born entrepreneur Drai, 60, who owns trendy nightclub and restaurant Tryst in Las Vegas.

His aide added: "Mr. Drai was hugely impressed by the couple and believes they could have a big impact here - like Posh and Becks.

According to reports in the US the newly- weds spent more than two hours with Drai at his club inside the five-star Wynn Hotel and Wayne even posed for a picture.

Drai also reckons that Coleen, like Posh, could pursue a career as a fashionista in the US with her own retail clothing lines.

According to a Sin City source, the multi-millionaire would be "delighted" to finance any dream deal with the couple, knowing their names would guarantee huge returns. (ANI)
