The U.S President George Bush's controversial remarks pointing out Indian and Chinese middle class's 'improved diets' has led to global food crisis and inflation and its clarification has failed to satisfy critics here. The latest to join them is popular Yoga guru Baba Ramdev.

On Sunday, Ramdev criticized the U.S President for his comments over Indians' food habits.

During his brief visit here to watch the sculpture of the Chandel built art temples, popularly known as Khajuraho temple, Ramdev suggested that Bush needed to check the number of obese people in his native country before commenting upon Indians.

"George Bush's comments signify that the Americans are themselves very foody: maximum numbers of obese people are in America. The U.S should look at itself before commenting upon others," said Baba Ram Dev, the yoga guru.

Ramdev agreed if the people from middle class and upper middle class (in India) eat less, the rate of inflation would come down since the poor were not getting enough food.

"As far as India is concerned, it is true that the Indian middle class and upper middle class now have more resources and money. They have started eating more and started getting obese," said Ramdev. (ANI)
