NEWARK, NJ (April 16, 2009) – Award winning R&B artist and producer Michael Bivins is looking for the next big R&B Teen sensation.
NEWARK, NJ (April 16, 2009) – Award winning R&B artist and producer Michael Bivins is looking for the next big R&B Teen sensation.
The Mike Bivins Talent Search – a national campaign sponsored by Sporty Rich Enterprises – is looking for talented teens between the ages of 13 – 18. Contestants interested in performing should attend Round One of the competition which will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at Central High School, 246 18th Ave. Newark, NJ. Auditions will start at 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Registration will be 3:30pm – 4:45pm. Contestants will perform for a panel of judges to include Michael Bivins himself and Newarks’ own Dupre “Doiall” Kelly (Rapper from “Lords of the Underground”).
Twenty-Five of the best performers will be selected to compete in Round Two, on Friday, April 17, 2009. Only one person will be selected to move forward to join 9 other State contest winners in the Grand finale contest that will be held later this year in Washington DC.
Contestants will be video taped in preparation for the pilot of the “Mike Bivins Talent Search” Reality Show. Newark is one of several major cities that will be visited. Other locations include, Philadelphia, PA, Washington, DC, Honolulu, New York, New Orleans and more to be announced. Sporty Rich Enterprises CEO, Michael Bivins says, "We are looking for a young performer who can sing, dance and motivate the audience. Contestants should be prepared not only to impress me and the other judges, but they need to be able to move the crowd and represent their city.”
