Britons are still smarting from the disappointment of England's defeat to Croatia, ruling them out of next year's European Championship, but footballer Ashley Cole's better half, Cheryl says he and others should move on with their lives.

The Sun quoted the `The Girls Aloud' singer as saying that while Ashley was understandably upset about missing out on the European Championships, both were looking forward to taking a holiday.

England left back Ashley missed the Croatia game through injury and was devastated when a 3-2 defeat left England out of the summer tournament.

But Cheryl admitted on Radio 1: "I tell him to get over it and move on because at least now we can go on holiday early. That went down like a lead balloon, but I'm pleased we can go on holiday next summer."

"He's a Chelsea player so he's got to think about playing for them now and get over England losing," she added. (ANI)
