A source close to Zara told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Horses are her passion and this one was extra special because it was her grandmother's first entry."
Britain's Zara Phillips cheered on her grandmother Queen Elizabeth's horse at the famous Cheltenham Festival races yesterday (13.03.08).

Zara, who attended the annual meet, in Gloucestershire, England, with her rugby player boyfriend Mike Tindall, seemed in jovial mood as the queen's horse Barber Shop was beaten in the Jewson Novices' Handicap Chase race by Finger On The Pulse.

A source close to Zara told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Horses are her passion and this one was extra special because it was her grandmother's first entry.

"The queen wasn't able to watch because of other commitments but was having the race recorded."

Zara wore an attractive red blazer with white stitching and large white buttons to keep her warm over her black trousers and polo neck combination. She topped off her outfit with a black pointed trilby hat.

The 26-year-old - who is hoping to pick up a medal at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games with her horse Toytown as part of the British Olympic equestrian team - also spoke about her nerves as the August games draw closer.

She said: "Olympic year has finally arrived for Toytown and myself and I'm hoping it is going to be a big one. I love riding for my country."
