Scott McKenzie popularly known as singer of 'San Francisco,' has died on August 18, 2012 in Los Angeles, CA. He was a famous American singer. He was born in Jacksonville, Florida in 1939. He started singing from his early days. He performed various songs in his school life.
McKenzie’s website stated about his death. According to the website, he battled Guillain-Barre Syndrome. This disease is related to the nervous system. He had suffered from this disease syndrome since 2010.
He also developed a band known as Doo Wop Band. The other key people of this band were Phillips, Mike Boran and Bill Cleary. His genre was Pop music but he was fond of all types of music. He used to play guitar with his band. The Mamas & the Papas was his famous associated act. There are numbers of popular songs in this album that have great genres of folk rock, psychedelic pop, sunshine pop.
He was regarded as the singer of 'San Francisco,' He performed various acts with popular style of genres. He worked with numbers of popular Hollywood celebrities. He worked with Denny Doherty, Cass Elliot and Michelle Phillips. Phillips was his best friend. He wrote various acts to Scott McKenzie.
