A self-confessed fan of flowing curls, the "Desperate Housewives" appeared with her new look on July 14, during a brunch with husband Tony Parker in Beverly Hills, Calif.
"I love how modern day stars have owned the look. They have re-invented it and made it their own. It's an ever changing recreation of the bob," The New York Daily News quoted legendary stylist Edward Tricomi, co-owner of the Warren Tricomi salon at The Plaza, as saying.
Celebrity stylist Ken Paves, who works with the actress said that though Longoria cut her hair for her role as Gaby on the hit show, but she "was ready for a change," and it seems that her new hair-do would quickly make waves.
The other 'Posh-inspired' celebrities to chop off the crop include the stylish Spice Girl's 'good-pal' Katie Holmes, who went to the short hair look last year.
Paris Hilton showed off her newly shorn locks a month after Posh relocated to Los Angeles and soon Anne Hathaway, Gwyneth Paltrow, Hayden Panettiere and other celebs followed suit.
