English indie rock band The Zutons, whose song Valerie was turned into a hit by Amy Winehouse, fear that the troubled singer has "gone too far".
Winehouse's drug addiction, which has been spiralling out of control, has left The Zutons frontman Dave McCabe hoping that she can turn her life around.
"I hope Amy sorts it out. But does she wanna sort it out? Because the way she's being treated now, I think it may have gone too far," the Sun quoted Dave as having told Virgin Radio.
"She's like, 'You know, I can't even be bothered dealing with all this situation'. She might just like to be a husky singer in a shady club, which could be good as well.
"I hope she sorts it out. I hope she becomes happy, and if she's happy now then fair enough," he added.
