Hollywood bosses are cutting on the pay packets of A-list film stars after deciding that they're just not worth it.
According to the chiefs, blockbuster hits no longer depend on the star draw of names like George Clooney and Tom Cruise.
And the latest evidence of this is Clooney's latest flop 'Leatherheads', which failed to recoup his and co-star Renée Zellweger's megabucks salaries.
And studios were horrified that 'The Invasion', starring A-listers Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig, took just 7million pounds at the box office after costing 40million pounds to produce.
Even bankable comedy stars like Ben Stiller, Eddie Murphy and Will Ferrell have been misfiring.
Instead, comedies like 'Knocked Up', 'Superbad' and 'Juno', starring unknowns like Ellen Page and Michael Cera, have attracted huge audiences.
Until recently, stars like Cruise, Julia Roberts and Tom Hanks could demand an upfront fee of around 12million pounds per picture as well as a huge slice of the profits.
But one agent said those days are coming to an end.
Pierce Brosnan is 'outrageously' kissable! Legendry actor Pierce Brosnan may not be attached to the 'James Bond' film series anymore, but he is still considered to be one of the most kissable men in Hollywood.
