The former England captain beat actors Ashton Kutcher, 30, Jesse Metcalfe, 29, and Ryan Phillippe, 33, to the No 1 spot in the American version of OK! magazine's poll.
However, Becks wasn't the only Brit among the top 50 of world's sexiest men - X Factor and American Idol judge Simon Cowell, 48, was ranked 25th.
James Bond star Daniel Craig, 40, came in at No 36, and Irish-born Bond legend Pierce Brosnan, 55, landed the eleventh spot.
According to OK! insiders, topping the sex poll showed the England midfielder had arrived in the American consciousness.
"He's the sweetest piece of Man Candy you'll find," the Daily Star quoted a source, as saying.
