New York, May 15 : Mariah Carey fans shouldn't be surprised if she reveals that she and new hubby will soon be welcoming their first child into the world, for the couple has already started preparing a nursery.

According to the New York Daily News, one of Carey's assistants recently called chic baby boutique Petit Tresor.
A source tells the paper that the assistant asked the LA store for fabric samples, and also checked whether its designer could work on a butterfly theme for the room.
Mariah's manager, Benny Medina, however insists that the singer is not pregnant at the moment.
Carey wed 27-year-old Cannon on April 30, and three weeks ago told OK! magazine though she was in no hurry to start a family, having children is "part of the whole purpose of getting married." (ANI)
