He had to create a niche for himself, as being part of a team, which includes country's 10 best directors, is not an easy task. But director Ayush Raina has finally made it big after getting rave reviews for his directorial debut film, 'Mumbai Cutting'.

'Mumbai Cutting- a city unfolds' the unique film has eminent and experienced directors like Sudhir Mishra, Anurag Kashyap, Revathi, Kundan Shah etc presenting their own short films as a tribute to Bollywood as well as to the great spirit of the city of Mumbai.

Among all the more seasoned film makers, Raina got a golden chance and found inspiration for the substance for his film from the tinsel town itself.

"I had to create my own space between 10 other prominent and award winning filmmakers also keep up to the confidence that white cloud had in me," Raina said.

He has done an outstanding job of bringing alive the story of struggling assistant directors in today's film world for the White cloud production.

The cast of his short film include - Arjun Mathur who was in Meera Nair's 'Aids jaago' along with Raj singh Arora of 'Kyun Ki', Geetika Tyagi whose short film with Deepak Dobrial (won the best short film at IIFLA) and VJ Juhi from channel V.

The characterization of these youngsters is what added attraction to the film.

The effervescent Juhi who is always seen in spaghettis plays a demure burkha clad Muslim girl apparently a performance to be noticed.

Arjun mathur transformation into cool mumbaite dude has also perked up interest in him after his family boy persona in Mira Nairs Aids Jagoo. (ANI)
