He said: "You know, my friend George Hamilton did it and George was terrific and he enjoyed it. If I need to lose a few pounds, maybe I'll try it!"
Meanwhile, Pacino - whose character in new movie '88 Minutes' has a stalker - says he is no stranger to being followed by an overzealous fan.
He added to US TV show 'Entertainment Tonight': "I had a stalker in the old days when I was sexy! It was a bit of a nightmare, but it ended and I don't want to start it up again!"
