American actress and singer Jamie Lynn Spears' engagement to Casey Aldridge has been confirmed by her cousin Tina Robinson.
The event, which happened a few days ago, had not been expected, however with Jamie being pregnant, it was pushed up.
"He proposed a few days ago, and she accepted," Usmagazine.com quoted Robinson as saying.
Tina has not seen a ring as yet and she is not certain if the marriage would take place before or after Jamie Lynn delivers.
"They probably weren't expecting [the proposal] to be, like, right now, but with her being pregnant, that really pushed it up," Robinson said.
The couple had in December announced that they were expecting their first child, and it was around the same time that 18-year-old Aldridge's uncle, 71-year-old Odus Jackson, announced that he was "hopeful" for a future wedding.
"It would be something that we could all look forward to in time and that it would not be a forced thing even if it happened," he had said.
